About
A decade of service to those who served.
veterans initiative for community excellence — rooted in San Antonio, built for the country.
Mission
Show up. Lead with honor. Build excellence.
The Military VICE Project exists to provide a single, culturally competent front door for service members, veterans, and military families navigating life before, during, and after service.
We address the full arc of transition — career, mental health, community, and benefits — with the kind of representation and equity that has long been missing from traditional veteran services.
DUTY. HONOR. COUNTRY. And community.
Inclusivity isn't a buzzword — it's how you build trust with the people you serve. Black-owned. Latino-owned. Veteran-led.

The Founder
Leadership forged in service.
A military protagonist, visionary catalyst, and humanitarian, Dr. Marlon K. John founded the Military VICE Project in 2016 to serve veterans, active-duty service members, and their families across San Antonio and beyond.
Dr. Marlon K. John founded the Military VICE Project in March 2016 with a clear mission: provide a single, culturally competent front door for service members, veterans, and military families navigating life after service.
His leadership extends across civic, academic, and humanitarian fronts. He currently serves as Chief Legal Officer at Gridnet AI, Interim State Chairman of the Veterans Party of Texas, State Treasurer of the Veterans Party of America, and Vice President of Victorious Point — a tiny-home village venture addressing homelessness.
He is a Board Advisor to the San Antonio Area Foundation (Livable & Resilient Community Committee), and the Business & Military Affairs Advising Manager for Enventure San Antonio. His breadth of service reflects the VICE Project's own ethos: show up, lead with honor, and build community excellence.
